Alphorns fascinates first and foremost by their warm, rustic sound, which can unfold completely, especially outdoors or in large rooms. But also by their unique size and shape. When we hear the unusual sounds of an alphorn, albeit all the more exciting, we immediately associate it with dreamlike mountain landscapes and beautiful nature.

Easy and clean response

With a thin wall thickness of only 7 mm and a cup diameter of 20 cm, the reliable and coherent alphorns scores with an extremely easy and clean response. The cup base and mouthpiece knob are made of solid maple, while the robust cup ring is stained in cherry.

Other tunings by optional hand tubes

By using a different hand tube, the tuning of the alphorn can be changed quickly and easily. In addition to the alphorn in F tuning, this set includes a second hand tube in Bb tuning in the delivery.

Gold-anodized connecting sleeves

Unlike conventional sleeves, our gold-anodized connections offer extreme abrasion resistance and thus a perfect fit for years to come. A rubbing or mutual oxidation is impossible.

100% Made in Austria

The Lechgold alphorns are handcrafted from Austrian wood from higher alpine regions. The wood is dried slowly over several years to avoid tension and warping.

The mouthpiece

As standard mouthpiece, Lechgold supplies a maple mouthpiece with 19 mm inner diameter and a bore of 5.5 mm. These are dipped in linseed oil and are varnished several times.
