You could say that the CE-1 and CE-2 from Boss are the absolute reference when it comes to chorus.
With the CE-2w you get both in one compact format.
For me, exactly what I was looking for. Nice analog sound, not too shrill and not too warm, always subtle but still noticeable.
The high noise level of other comments I can not confirm, the CE-2w is no louder than my Walrus Audio Julia v2. And the buffered bypass also works wonderfully without any coloring of the fundamental.

Very close to the originals, although overall a bit more analytical and lifeless.
Nevertheless (still) superior to the currently best digital replicas in the AXE-FX II and Kemper Amp.
Very variable due to the 3 modes and very easy to use due to the reduction to 2 knobs;
Control sections/different positions clearly distinguishable.
The buffered bypass sounds relatively transparent and neutral.
Who runs the part with battery, the lack of an on / off switch, you have to remove each time the input jack, otherwise the battery is quickly gone.
Switch for effects on/off seems to be no longer mechanical (DPDT), but electronic; you don't notice any resistance when switching - some are happy (no switching noise), others miss the clearly audible feedback.
Absolute drawback: Despite the latest components, the noise values are absolutely disturbing and in my opinion not state of the art; especially when the chorus is used with a clean amp. It gets even worse if you run the chorus before a compressor - with amp simulators/effects it's best to run it in the effect loop (stereo output) and after the comp. If you run the device before the normal Hi-Z input, then the digital comp is always after it.
Had therefore almost sent the chorus back again - but the sounds were then altogether very inspiring that I have kept the part.
