The assembly is easy thanks to the instructions and I am thrilled with the quality. The drum set can be adjusted individually and the damper set makes it possible to play in the apartment without being limited in playing.
Absolutely top !!!

I was very satisfied with this set, it is very well made and in general better than I was expecting. I would recommend this set, and say it is good value. Not a musician myself, but sounds goo to me!

As a beginner set good to have at a small price. Highlight is the damper set...... say the neighbours! :-)
Very good entry-level package with forgivable weaknesses

Actually I play guitar and bass. In the hobby basement I have enough space for a drum kit and I wanted to get a certain level of drum basics, also to be able to communicate better with the drummer when I have riffs or basslines in my head again.
Since it's really only about basics I chose the Rookie. In studio size and with dampers, so that there is no stress with the neighbors in the apartment building (basement is sealed, but safe is safe).
1st hardware:
Solid, double-stick hardware that adjusts well. Memory locks save time during setup. The bass pedal unfortunately only comes with a felt beater and feels rather weak on the chest, the same goes for the hi-hat pedal. I don't use the hi-hat much anyway and I ordered the kit with a double foot machine, so no problem for me, and the small price has to come from somewhere.
The stool is kept very simple but holds my about 90kg in clothes without hesitation and is comfortable.
2. pelvis:
For me the biggest weakness of the kit. The cymbals are pleasantly quiet even without dampers, but just sound somehow lifeless. You can not have everything, the kit is neither planned for high-quality recordings nor for live gigs.
3. snare, bass and toms
The big surprise. The poplar shells are pleasantly clean and sound especially with the factory skins nice crisp and assertive. For me as a metalhead really pleasant and I think a pair of Remo or Evans skins could really bring out something extra here.
Kick drum and snare surprised me the most. With a blanket in the kick and a little Moongel on the snare, the sound is surprisingly clear with a lot of punch. If blastbeats are on the plan or it should be a crisp rock / metal sound in general, these kettles are really not to be despised. For the smooth jazzer or gospel enthusiast maybe but not warm enough.
All tuning screws run straight and react well. Skins I can not judge more accurately, but the kit sounds ex works not bad.
4. mute
Very practical if you don't want to annoy anyone on quiet days. Brings the kit in the range of normal radio / TV volume and should finally no longer bother anyone.
Unfortunately, of course, not much of the actual sound of the drums remains. Rebound is there, but the neoprene mats eat simply highs. That is the compromise you have to make.
The mats can cause some low end resonances or overtones to show up that wouldn't show up without them. A little Moongel or something to have not hurt there.
5. accessories
The assembly instructions are great and help you through the process.
The 5A sticks are maple, straight and equal in weight. Much too light for me, but definitely a guide to get started.
The DVD is also a good help to get started.
Conclusion:
I am very happy with the kit for the. The kettles sound very good for my style of music and form the heart. Cymbals and pedals are a very individual thing and can be easily replaced. With this set you have either a good kit for minimalists or a good start around which you can later build and expand. Either way, I finds very good
