I previously had a more expensive ukulele from another brand that was poorly made. When I then looked around I came across this and was skeptical to find a fully solid ukulele for under 200. Super sound, well made and sings almost by itself. Highly recommended.

Great sound, super made and delivered quickly

After I made my first steps on a "plastic" ukulele (Classic Cantabile Beach Buddy) and the soprano scale is very narrow there, I wanted to try a tenor ukulele as a "level-up". So I thought for a long time whether from Cascha or Volt. The choice fell on this Volt "Valencia" tenor ukulele.

Delivery as usual from Kirstein with DPD and the ukulele is well packed. The gig bag is much more valuable than the "Beach Buddy" and has an extra compartment for accessories such as tuner or spare strings.

The ukulele comes with relaxed strings, i.e. after unpacking it is first crank and tune the instrument to g-C-E-A. It should be noted that the strings must first be "played in", in the first few hours you have to check the tuning relatively often, but after a few days the strings are then relatively tuning stable. The instrument lies well in the hand and makes visually quite something, also by the beautiful decoration of the sound hole. The sound is nice and the "Valencia" Tenor also has a relatively good sustain. It is also nice that the ukulele has strap pins. Overall impression very positive for the relatively low price. Highly recommended if you want to switch from the plastic class to the wooden class at a reasonable price.

As a guitar player, I have always been careful to play a high-quality instrument. Therefore, I thought for the time being that a ukulele at this price could not meet my demands. This was a mistake, because it is easy to play and has a beautiful sound. In this price-performance segment, this ukulele is one of the best.

First of all, the description was not quite correct. The top is solid and the mechanics (it has a window head) are open. (with other sellers, however, the descriptions are much more adventurous than here).

In general, the Tenor is a nice size and plays well. You have to like the sound.

It is well made and looks quite nice. Quality for little money. It is not only exceptional in design. Just different. Who likes the extraordinary, even in his cheaper "everyday instrument", is well served here. Conclusion....Can be done ...
