Many possibilities on a single product. I might say that for that price, this is the best option overall.

I tested the VT20X and VT40X and as unlikely as it may sound, both were defective. The headphone output had no signal or almost no signal.
I did the test at a small music store in our town and it was difficult to get my money back.

Quite different at Kirstein, they tested the VT20X against the Rocktile Screem-15, of course only the headphone output and confirmed to me, the function of the headphone output is comparable and can be used without problems, that is a good service. Also the efforts of VOX/Korg Germany, as well as the
contact with VOX UK were very helpful.

About the VT40X, of course I went for the larger model, also had a 10 € birthday voucher and so I paid 209 € and that is
really money well spent, for so many options and tremendous performance. On the performance I would like to mention, now I know why you have the volume control
on the guitar and on the amplifier Volume and Power Level should be turned down before turning on and plugging in the guitar, the thing has real power.
With the 40 watts you can annoy the neighbors without any problems or sound a pub and there is certainly still room for improvement. The setting options
are almost infinite, 33 amp/effect presets on the VT40X and with the software Tone Room 60 presets and of course you can make your own
compositions from AMP types and 18 effect pedals and store them in the VT20/VT40 and "take them with you" even without a laptop.
My favorite is currently "Got the Blues", compiled with Gold Drive, Tape Echo, Reverb and the Boutique OD, a dream are also "Walk this Way" and "American Idiot" , where it really rattles. The crucial difference to other AMPs is, the VOX has a tube in the preamp and that brings it and this can be controlled with five settings. Also the quality of the construction leaves nothing to be desired, everything very solidly processed, two small things I would do differently, the power supply I would rather have built in the housing and then provided as a connection a cold device socket with a 3-5 m cable. The connections AUX and headphones
would be preferable to me in 6.35 mm so 1/4 inch and not 3.5 mm jack.

I operate the VOX almost exclusively through a high-quality headphones, give from my notebook the sound of the instructional video on it and then play and practice to it,
so I do not disturb anyone and have a top sound.

Finally, I would like to note, such a "practice amplifier" like the VT40X I would, if I owned the company VOX, not offer for 219 €,
I see the product clearly at 400 €, he would also be easily worth.

Easy to use, own sounds made quickly with the software.

I'm a beginner and have ne small combo for practice searched....müssen say, compact, fat sound, great features at a small price. Speak 1a price-performance ratio, I am more than satisfied...!!!!

The different sounds sound really good. So I have always wanted a tube sound. And that at the price-performance ratio. Really class. I would buy it again and again.
Device is easy to carry. And still really loud for 20 W. Differences between the 11 amp models can be heard, but sometimes do not differ significantly. Since 6..7 amp models would have been enough.
Over headphones is of course the super sound so not to hear.

Difference in the bias shift on / off is hardly audible.
Delivery time of 1-2 business days were with me in reality: Thursday ordered, only on Wednesday in front of the door.

Have tested almost all modeling amps in the price range up to 200, -EUR. The VOX has convinced me. Since I have used a good four decades so a lot of tube amps (Fender, Mesaboogie,
Marshall, Hiwatt and VOX), at the moment I use the Bugera 1960 Infinium Head for gigs, I approached the modeling amps with some skepticism. However, as a home practice amp, this little box is awesome. The modelling of the amps as well as the effects are more than well done. Even at the lowest volumes you get that tube feeling and one hour of practice usually turns into two or three. Also the sound over headphones is very good. My recommendation for all who want to play or practice at home without problems with good sound.
