The Cajon arrived very quickly and uncomplicated with me. The sound is wirklick super! Great is with this model that you can turn the snare with a small lever off and on again and can also easily operate while playing. Without snare it is a really nice bassy sound. The clap-corners sound great and bring great variety to the playing! The accompanying bag fits perfectly and is well padded. It can be carried well on the loops and the Cajon is well protected. The look is by the dark wood of course an eye-catcher, but I was mainly about the sound and the convinced! I can only recommend to everyone!

Processing top. Through the snare on / off mechanism and the Clap Corners you have some variation possibilities.
Because of the sound I have compared this Cajon with the CaSela Pro Satin Nut. This Dark Nut version sounds much better to me - it's clearer and fuller (at least in my playing style), both in the bass and snare sound. The reason might be that the Dark Nut version is the only CaSela that has the "Hard Splash" surface (except the Bass CaSela), all others have the "Thin Splash" surface.
One other thing to mention is that the finish on the dark groove version is obviously not a real wood veneer, but a laminate. That doesn't feel much different, but could explain the sound difference.

Processing top, Snare On / Off top, Clap Corner also. In direct comparison to the CaSela Pro Dark Nut, I liked the sound of the Dark Nut version better. The Dark Nut is as far as I know the only Sela Cajon with the "Hard Splash" surface, I suspect that is the reason for the sound difference.
