The package reached me pretty crumpled. Thank God, the Cajon was still in another cardboard sleeve and had remained intact despite rough shipping.
However, the mechanism in the instrument had come loose, which is responsible for the snare sound. It took me about half an hour to get the loose wooden part back in place.
