Prior to purchase, I was sceptical that a significant enough reduction in vibration could be achieved with this item alone - however I've been pleasantly surprised. The item is weighty and sturdy, so great for bearing load but even stamping purposefully harder than I'd ever play a kick drum, the sound and vibration transferred to the floor/room in general is reduced to an impressive degree.
It might not be the perfect solution on its own for everyone, but in extreme cases when paired with a decent dampening platform, I think even the most sensitive of neighbours would be abated. Recommended.
