I was looking for "the guitar sound" for many alternative tracks all the time and finally found it. The workmanship is great and the guitar sounds beautifully open and clear. A great instrument!

Sounds in any case times better than the old Mexico Standart guitars. I had previously another slightly older USA Strat for 1400 € to test. Here, too, the Fender Player wins. The surcharge is worth the optics. 3580g weight goes also still straight. The USA Strat also weighs 3500g. I stand but also not for hours on stage ;-)

String position a little too high and the first three frets clang against the fretsticks. Good, can be corrected. Also, a small pink spot on the varnish, don't know what that is. Plus a small dent on the back. Even though it's a Mexican, I thought that at least externally everything is perfect.

The Strat was delivered very quickly and arrived as expected astreinin packed with me. Tools to adjust the saddles to adjust the neck were also included. The latter came unfortunately faster to use than I am used to.
The guitar was unfortunately not preset at all. The string action was too high which I first tried to get under control by adjusting the tremolo system. Unfortunately, I then found that intonation was not possible. The neck tension rod was totally loose and therefore no decent neck curvature was possible. I adjusted the neck curvature, string action, tremolo and corrected the intonation slightly. What can I say, all in all a great Stratocaster with great looks, great playability and great vintage sound. I would buy it again anytime. But I still have to deduct one star for the super bad preset. For a layman, the correction would not have been possible. But this problem is actually at the expense of Fender Mexico. A pre-shipment inspection would therefore be desirable.
