Customer ratings for Classic Cantabile LSGS-100 Lap Steel Stand

It seemed like a great idea. Got it home, assembled it, tried to fit my Recording King Lap into it but it was to small. I read that someone bended the front ”holders” (or whatever they’re called) and that worked fine. As soon as I started playing and doing vibrato it just wobbled like a newborn giraffe. Suuuuuuper unstable. My plan is to build some kind of leg-thing to hold it but I wish that things you buy just works from the start. I love the small body holder but if you can’t do vibrato on lap steel, what’s the point with this? Surprised no one has mentioned this in the reviews already.

Taken in advance - for this price, this stand is very good. The processing corresponds to the price - stably built, The screws can be turned well. Overall, the stability is good. However, at full height it wobbles of course. But this is perfectly fine.

Thought as a tip: My Epihone Electar Century fits on this stand, if the middle upward noses are sawed off.

The company Kirstein has answered my request all - good communication and was also very open to factual advice. This excited because unfortunately the competitors have not always answered in friendly German.

It's beautiful. It costs money, but it's worth it. Very sturdy.

It was already clear to me before the purchase that my "Duesenberg Fairytale" would not fit in the stand without modifications.
So two lugs bent over, the rubber grommets pushed back over it ... and already "my nozzle" had a safe support.
I will also have to shorten the four legs, because the minimum height ex works is already too high.

Too bad that the supports were not designed to be adjustable.
I would have also gladly paid more for it.

In the absence of other purchasable alternatives, I am more or less satisfied with this stand.

This stand is good, but quite small. Neither my lap steel nor my dulcimer will fit on it. I will have to try bending the side flanges to see if I can make everything fit. It's sturdy and I'll use it on stage, but I need a carrying case to transport it. I would recommend.

The stand was delivered very quickly and is, as described, very stable and very well padded for the instrument. The legs are screwed, which makes a solid impression and will hopefully remain so when the stand is unscrewed from time to time for a gig.
The only downer: The two holders in the middle are actually too close together, there hardly fits an instrument. I knew that by the other reviews and have therefore also given five stars and these holders with nem vice carefully bent back. Here should be found in the future, if the stand should be revised times, ne better (adjustable) solution.

The goods arrived neatly packaged and quickly delivered with me. Everything unpacked and built without problems. Unfortunately
the body and neck did not fit into the manufactured angles. 3 min work with a hacksaw the inner "ears" clean sawed off deburred and the neck something with a combination pliers bent up. Repaired with a little black paint. Now the stand fits all my Lap Steels guitars for a good price and a little skill. Otherwise very stable. Playing height is also possible in stand.

The stand was delivered super fast. Unfortunately, my Lapsteel did not fit on it. The side brackets but were easy to bend over. Since the stand wobbled me personally when playing too much, I have stiffened it with metal braces, was a lot of work but now he stands bombproof, but of course can no longer be easily dismantled.
Since there are hardly any alternatives to the stand - especially in the price range - I have not regretted it.

Christmas gift thus remained in its packing, it will be to discover in a few weeks.
On the other hand I recommend the site, very interesting price, free delivery and very fast.

The legs are welded crooked, the padding insufficient. Have him only not returned because it is relatively cheap. The only pleasant thing is that at least the dimensions are correct.

Great was the joy when unpacking - and the greater the disappointment when I had to realize that my Gretsch G5700 TS does not fit on it. And that although this is now really a common model!
Nevertheless, my trusted locksmith's shop welded off the brackets and extended them at the appropriate places. No big deal and not expensive.
Generally, I would give 5 stars because the part is just extremely stable and pratkisch - but the additional work let the rating sink ...

A strong, well-made stand that is excellent value for money in my opinion. The legs are a fairly tight fit, but that probably helps stability.
My only criticism would be the guitar fit. I have an SX eight-string lap steel, and I fully expected to have a slight problem with the wider neck. However, I was surprised that the body wouldn't fit, as it's a standard SX size. Eventually, each of the six holding brackets had to be bent back quite significantly to allow the guitar to sit properly. As a previous reviewer mentioned, two of the six brackets seem unnecessary (the two centre ones). I may remove them. All in all though, a good product. And the only one in Europe at this price!

The article arrived well and quickly. Everything is in order. To the article itself there is the following criticism: if the legs were also slightly (more) flared to the side, the stand would not swing so much to the side. Then it would be perfect. In the other direction, fortunately, nothing swings - then he would be worthless. By a small change in the construction, the stand could be greatly upgraded and then I would also pay a good 100 € for it. So the 50 € are OK. Of the 6 fixation tabs above 2 are not only not necessary, but also had to be removed so that my Steel had space. But that was no problem. I could break them down easily with a pipe wrench. But I would still call him usable and I'm glad I bought him.
