I am an amateur musician who occasionally plays trumpet in church. In order to expand the repertoire I wanted to get a piccolo trumpet. I read good reviews about this instrument on the Internet, so I decided to buy it.
The delivery to Hungary was fast and the package tracking directly at the Kirstein website was very pleasant and worked well. The trumpet was well packed, arrived without any damage. It has a sturdy and light case, however it was interresant that the A pin has no place in the case and is placed in the outer pocket. I liked that instead of the usual 7C mouthpiece, there was a real piccolo mouthpiece labeled JB 14A4A in the case. It is worth trying this mouthpiece, but I already had a Schilke 5A4 piccolo mouthpiece, with which the tone and intonation was better. Finally I got an A&S 7EW mouthpiece, which fits better for me because of wider rim.
At first I had a lot of problems with intonation, but it's probably the same with all piccolo trumpets. Sometimes I use alternative grips, for example: the high F play only with the 4th valve.
I find the workmanship generally good. Because it has no water keys, you have to pull out the slides and with the 3rd valve it was difficult at first but after cleaning up and smearing it was much better. The 4th pull can also be pulled out completely.
The valves were relatively slow but multiple cleanups and oiling helped a bit there too.
Feel is OK, because of the small bell you should not force the notes.
All in all, I think that this instrument is sufficient for amateurs and has a very good price / performance ratio.

I needed to buy a trumpet for a baroque music concert. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and an internet search led me to this product. When I read the positive reviews, I trusted it.
I could see that the reviews were true. It is a fantastic instrument: it has a wonderful sound, full, with good intonation, especially in the highest registers; and the machine works well, too. It's what you could call a good musical instrument, which you can buy nowadays without spending a lot of money. It used to be unthinkable to get this quality for so little money. The musicians I play with were thrilled with my purchase.
The Kirstein team was helpful, friendly and very professional. They also included a certificate of quality with my unit.
I will continue to buy from them. Thank you

Great piccolo trumpet - machine runs very easily and is also well made. Response is quite good, however, should be supplied a mouthpiece other than the usual 7c (I now have many 7c lying around at home) - a FL mouthpiece would be better.
