The Beyer Dynamics not only looks great, it has an amazing sound and serves as headphones for our electric piano. Thanks to the semi-open technology, the pianist remains responsive. Great! Kirstein's customer service is also always convincing with alternative offers and updates regarding the delivery, despite the late delivery.

I previously had the Beyerdynamic DT-990, with whose sound I was very satisfied. After more than 25 years, a transducer broke. This is acceptable to me. Mechanically I like the DT-990 Pro better, it doesn't sit so loosely on the head and only has a cable outlet on one side. This is also better for any repairs (cable replacement). Soundwise I did not notice any differences between the 600 Ohm system (DT-990) and the 250 Ohm system of the DT-990 Pro, but a direct comparison was no longer possible. Briefly I had considered buying a wireless headphones, but they are either much more expensive or seemed to me sonically not so good.

Who wants good sound and sound must really access there. Hammer dinger!!!!!

You don't really need to say much more as this is a legend. You get to know music in a whole new way and for mixing in the bedroom studio you can't find anything better in the budget range for normal earners.

I bought the Beyerdynamic DT-911 17 years ago and have used it intensively since then. All the greater my sadness when the left channel was gone one day. The DT-990 was the closest replacement in terms of design (open). Instead of a split cable, there is only one connection point, which I find a bit more practical. The pressure of the ear cups seemed a bit firmer to me at first, but the thick padding cushions that. Even as a wearer of glasses, I can have the DT-990 on for hours.

Sound-wise, I felt at home from the first second and almost immediately forgot I was wearing new headphones. It has the sound I've come to love from the DT-911s: precise and high-resolution across the frequency spectrum, not as bass-heavy as other headphones, ideal for mixing, mastering and analysis. It's a "whitewasher" in character, as music just always sounds good with it. For cross-checking, you should also test your mix with worse speakers or headphones from time to time. For recording vocals or acoustic instruments I would use closed headphones (I use plugs), because this model lets a lot of sound leak out due to its open design. So it's not an all-rounder, but a super good mixing headphone and also for pure music listening a real treat. I hope that this headphone is just as durable as its predecessor, or lasts even longer, because I will certainly deal with this a little more care.

Fit of the headphones is sensational. No pressure and little heat buildup, even when listening for long periods. Sound is simply more than very good, very balanced and nuanced. Sounds very good with classical music, jazz, but also with pop and rock. Definitely a buy recommendation.

Who does not need for whatever reason a closed system should get this headphone. Clear treble and no intrusive bass.

These are the first headphones for me that can really be worn for hours and from the sound of it, just gorgeous.
