Better than many mid-range wood tenors. The sound is warm and enveloping, but it requires careful control of breath delivery. It is not suitable for beginners, but it is very good for ensemble music. Unfortunately (I've noticed this with good Moeck tenors as well) the intonation is as it is, with some notes decidedly low. But perhaps it was the baroque models to which the aulos owes its shape. Better the double holes on the C-RE than the keys! I found much better with the fingering
Class tenor flute

I am pleasantly surprised. Until now I did not know this manufacturer. This flute is easy to blow, is also saubeer in the higher register and has - fortunately for me - no keys. I like it more than the flute of an otherwise dominant supplier from Japan.
Very friendly advice and customer service,
clear purchase recommendation! Georg M.

For the price and the fact that it is made of plastic, the Aulos Tenor Recorder has a really nice and naturally warm and soft sound.
I am thrilled!

beautiful sound, only at the low d and c perhaps a bit quiet very robust and recommendable
Very good and important for me is that this Aulos easily reaches the highest possible notes, i.e. above the high a, the b, the c and the high d. Not all plastic flutes achieve this. Not all plastic flutes can do that, e.g. the Classic Cantabile Tenor, which I also have, can't do that either.
The short scale length of the Aulos 211A is very pleasant, as this tenor flute does not need keys. Here you can play longer without the right hand hurting from spreading the fingers over time. These problems are more likely to occur with smaller fingers on a tenor flute with keys.
I also play the Aulos tenor flute 511B (with keys), which probably sounds a little better and more powerful on the lower notes, but it costs considerably more at about 110 Euros. However, the 511B has the big disadvantage that pressing the keys for the low f, the low d and the low c is so noisy that I - and also the flute teacher - find it a rather annoying background noise. You don't have this disadvantage with the 211A.

First about the flute: Plagued by the heavy wooden tenor flutes I am now thrilled by the lightweight and the wonderfully light response! The price-performance ratio is perfect and I can only recommend the Aulos tenor flute!
The delivery service was extremely reliable, fast and uncomplicated!

If you don't have a lot of money to spend, the Robin is a good choice. However, not all sounds come clean. There is also a point deduction for shipping. DHL would have been safer, DPD has the prepaid instrument simply placed on the doorstep :-(
