Das JAS510 bietet die gleichen ergonomischen Merkmale der Mechanik, die mit den 1100 Series Colours of Sound Altsaxophonen eingeführt wurden. Die Position einzelner Tasten wurde angepasst, Winkel verändert und die Höhen und Längen der Hebel optimiert, so dass ein angenehmes Spielgefühl entsteht und von Beginn an Stress und Ermüdung vorgebeugt wird.
