Remarkably inspiring!

The Classic Cantabile - pocket saxophone is a pretty handy wind instrument with a mix of saxophone and clarinet sounds. With its flying weight of only 177 g, the compact pocket saxophone - as the name suggests - can be taken just about anywhere. For spontaneous music-making in the park, in the pedestrian zone, traffic jams on the highway or on stage so that nothing stands in your way!

A Hawaiian invented this interesting instrument in the 1970s. The X-20 is a woodwind instrument well suited for beginners, because it can be relatively easy to play. The fingering technique is similar to that of a flute. Depending on the technique the pocket sax is blown, be sound can vary from "soft" to "full and rich". The X-20 Classic Cantabile comes with a practical case. The pocket sax can be played incredibly variable: from blues, rock to jazz, everything is here!

Corresponds exactly to what I expected. Accurate notes, warm tone. Yapuka work. The only drawback: the instructions lack the explanation with scheme how to use the sealing grease.
nice little gimmick

as a clarinet player, the small pocket saxophone takes some getting used to at first, but after some practice you can coax some nice little melodies out of it. As I said, it's not an instrument for a wide range of melodies, but it's very nice as a change.

Very compact and well playable, it actually sounds like a saxophone. Unfortunately, the range is very limited.

I can't get it to play, the instructions are in German and I had to look at them several times to figure out how to insert the reed, then I don't know if it's my problem but the sound doesn't come out, I hope I don't pass out ????.

What a beautiful, beautiful and very affordable instrument! I am impressed with the sound.
I can't play the saxophone due to neck problems. I used to learn to play the recorder. This is a mixture of both instruments. I am a beginner and unfortunately can't find much information on Google on how to learn to play. That is the only drawback.

Question by Christine Rödel on 16.04.2020

Hello, in the next price segment there is an instrument - the Clarineau - that looks very similar. It says that it would be playable in another octave for advanced players. Does this also apply to the pocket saxophone? And how do the sounds of the two instruments differ? Christine Rödel is looking forward to an answer

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

In principle, it is possible to overblow the instrument, but it is technically difficult. This is somewhat easier with the Clarineau with overblowing key. Tonally, the Kunath instrument is fuller and also somewhat easier to play. This is mainly due to the good mouthpiece that comes with it. But you can also equip the X-20 with another mouthpiece and achieve the same effect.

Question by de la vega berberana on 06.04.2020

In which country is it manufactured?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

This instrument is manufactured in the Far East.
