how is the strap attached to the tuba and does it work for a children / youth tuba?

For this tuba strap, a carrying ring is required in the center of the main stirrup. The carabiner is hooked into it on the carrying plate. If you do not have a carrying ring on the tuba, we recommend this inexpensive alternative: https://www.kirstein.de/Blasinstrumente-Tragegurte/Arnolds-Sons-Tuba-D-Ring-Schlaufe-f-Tragegurt.html - This loop is then mounted around the bracket and has the required ring. The whole thing also works with smaller tubas.
