When I bought the BD2, I wasn't sure if I would get a measurable effect with the pedal on my mini combo. The mini combo is a Yamaha THR10. So unpacked it, put in the battery, plugged it in and started playing. What a great sound! Now my little amp finally sounds like a big one :o)).
The only downer is that if I don't disconnect the cables from the pedal, the 9 volt block wears out pretty quickly. Therefore, I will probably still have to get the power supply.

I have long made a bow around Boss pedals and their distortion even more so. But the many good reviews have made me curious and I have me the BluesDriver immediately come in the Waza Edition. .... What have I been missing all these years. I have tried so many overdrives from umpteen different reputable boutique manufacturers. Most have moved on quickly and only a few have lasted longer. Anyway, the Waza BD here is superbly tuned. Hangs very dynamically on the volume pot and the only 3 knobs let you quickly find THE sound you want. Very clear buy recommendation and the robustness of Boss there has never been anything to complain about. For me was / is the
