My home studio I have in a 40sqm living room and I needed studio monitors that do not drown in the room and can play as neutral as possible. Through the bass reflex ports in front, the monitors can stand relatively close to the wall, back on the back are controls available with which you can further adjust the sound. I previously had the M-Audio Bx 8 D3 and the Yamaha hs8.
The Yamahas are good all-rounders, the M Audios are great for hip hop productions. The KRK's are my most neutral monitors so far. I'm satisfied so far, let's see what time brings.
