Der AKG K240 Studio ist ein halboffener Studio-Kopfhörer für Mixing und Recording. Er bietet eine neutrale und unverfälschte Wiedergabe zur sicheren Beurteilung von Musik. Die speziellen Membranen sind in der Mitte dicker als am dünnen Rand (AKGs patentierte Varimotion-Technik). Im Vergleich zu normalen Membranen verbessern sich dadurch die Schwingungs-Eigenschaften und das Impulsverhalten ist deutlich exakter. Das resultierende Stereobild ermöglicht eine präzise Ortung.
Die ohrumschließenden Ohrpolster sorgen für einen guten Tragekomfort. Das Bügelband passt sich automatisch an die Größe des Kopfes an. Das Kabel wird über einen Mini-XLR-Stecker angeschlossen und lässt sich leicht austauschen.
