The Classic Cantabile US 100 SB has a matt lacquered basswood body and neck from selected Hardwood. With the smooth guitar mechanics, the tuning of the ukulele is a breeze. The ukulele is fitted with nylon strings. The compact size makes it perfect to use as an instrument for traveling, as it can very easily be stowed in a backpack or gig bag optional.
Originally brought the Portuguese immigrant Joao Fernandes 1879 Braguinha, a local form the cavaquinho, from Madeira to Hawaii. There it got the name "ukulele" (jumping flea), which should reflect the impact of the Hawaiians at the sight of the rapidly moving fingers across the fingerboard of the instrumentr.

The ukulele is daily in use - and since it gives so much pleasure, certainly get other family members one! A lot of fun for little money - and definitely a serious instrument for on the road.... Improvement suggestion for the kind of set, would be a LED tuner, to clip on, which are to be had in the trade already from 3 euros... But otherwise thumbs up!
