Man oh man, the people at Ortega have really gone the extra mile and you can get what I consider to be a premium instrument made from high-quality materials at a reasonable price
The workmanship is impeccable and it has been tuning stable right from the start, the smooth-running and precise tuners make it possible and the strings are probably also good.
The acacia wood is beautiful and harmonizes with the pleasing inlays and bindings.
But of course don't forget the most important thing:
The sound is magical and the playability is such that you won't want to put it down.
If you have an affinity for sea creatures other than dolphins, blue whales, jellyfish and sea turtles are also available as inlays.
The gig bag is attractively designed and neatly padded and is a nice addition that you can expect in this price range in my opinion.
Ortege has really come up with something for its 30th anniversary and lets us celebrate with such beautiful instruments: high-quality materials in an appealing design built into a great-sounding, easy-to-play instrument at a more than acceptable price for the overall package.
