For all friends of Celtic (and other natural) music, the 29-string Celtic Harp from Classic Cantabile offers feel-good sounds for everyone.

Typical design

Characteristic of the Celtic harp is the typical curved shape of the column, as it can also be found on the Irish coat of arms. Made out of ash tree, the hooked harp has a range of 4 octaves (C - c³).

Tuning

The 29 strings are tuned diatonically in E-flat major, with the blue and red strings indicating where the notes C and F are located. By flipping up the respective hooks, the harp is quickly retuned to a different key, making it very flexible to play music with others. For the first tries and easier understanding, however, a C tuning is just as possible.

Lever mechanism

The special mechanism of this harp makes it a versatile accompanist in different keys. Every single string is equipped with a semitone key, which raises the tone of the respective string by a semitone when it is folded. Thus, with a few simple adjustments, you are also equipped for any cross-tone.

Bag included

What would a travel instrument be without the necessary transport bag? The soft padded bag offers your musical instrument not only sufficient protection from dust and scratches, in the outer pocket, there's even enough space for the two tuning keys and other accessories.

Since I could not afford to buy a classical concert harp for many years, I decided to buy a Celtic harp. With 29 strings, this is a great instrument. I was afraid it would sound bad, but no! It sounds good. The harp case is very good: it's quilted inside, with a filler. So I don't have to worry about the temperature the wood is exposed to. The music stand with its own case is also great. Included with the harp were two sets of tuning keys, sets of strings and cloths to wipe them down - great!
Tip: In order for the included tuner to pick up the note properly, you need to place it under the deck from below. The educational sheet music book is designed for beginners. If you already know how to play the harp, it is useless.
