Sie bietet die Kraft und Resonanz eines Jumbo-Korpus sowie eine überraschend weiche Sensibilität und Artikulation. Indischer Palisander und Sitka-Fichte liefern ihre unverwechselbare Kombination aus warmen Bässen, makellosen Höhen und üppigen, blühenden Obertönen, die einen leichten Scoop im Mitteltonbereich hinterlassen, der sich perfekt für das Spiel mit anderen Instrumenten oder Gesang eignet.
Mit einer Antique Blonde-Oberflächenbehandlung, Mission-Inlays aus Perlmutt und Abalone und einer Paua-Muschel-Rosette mit einem Ring hebt sich die 818e durch ihre lebendige Ästhetik von ihren Pendants der 800er-Serie ab. Sie wird mit ES2-Elektronik in einem Deluxe-Hartschalenkoffer mit Western Floral-Muster geliefert.
