I had now 4 years the previous model Vox AMPhone used for practice at home. As expected, the very thin, not replaceable, cable is unfortunately broken near the jack. The cable was just too short, and you always had to remember to take off the headphones before turning off the bass. Actually, I did not want to order the new model VGH, because the cable is still not interchangeable, but I decided to do so.
And it has fortunately been optimized. The cable is now thicker and longer, the jack is now 6.3mm instead of 3.5mm, an adapter for the bass is no longer necessary. However, no adapter from 6.3 to 3.5mm is included for the also possible battery-free connection to the smartphone.
As with the previous model, the sound is extraordinarily good and loud, even for music from the PC or smartphone played via 3.5mm cable (not included).
The effect compressor is ok, but you set the mini wheels actually only 1x, because cumbersome and labeling for me barely legible.

Conclusion: For me, the best solution for practicing at home, the problems of the predecessor were recognized and improved. 1 star deduction because the cable is still not replaceable.

Question by Langen, karl on 30.12.2023

I would like to use it for acoustic guitar.
Is it suitable or recommended for this?
I also play BASS!
Thanks for feedback.
Best regards
Karl

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

There is no reason not to use the headphones for an acoustic guitar with a built-in pickup if you use the headphones in clean mode. The product is also suitable for bass.
