Die Gibson ES-339 ist ein moderner Klassiker und wurde für diejenigen entwickelt, die den Klang und die Optik einer ES-335 suchen, sich aber ein etwas kleineres und leichteres Instrument wünschen.
Das Palisander-Griffbrett mit Perlmutt-Dot-Einlagen und der Mahagonihals mit Rounded-"C"-Profil erinnern an Gibsons Anfänge und die 57 Classic und 57 Classic + Humbucker in Kombination mit der handverdrahteten Schaltung erzeugen den dazu gehörigen gewohnten und seit 60 Jahren gefeierten ES-Ton. Die verbauten Grover Rotomatic Mechaniken und die ABR-1-Brücke mit Stopbar bieten Stimmstabilität und präzise Intonation.
