Die DGT (David Grissom Trem) ist das Ergebnis einer mehr als 20-jährigen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Paul Reed Smith und David Grissom. Die DGT basiert auf der McCarty-Plattform mit einer einzigartigen DGT-Halsform, höheren Bünden, speziellen Tonabnehmern und einem überarbeiteten Reglerlayout. Grissom und Paul verbrachten ein Jahr mit A/B-Tests von mehr als vierzig Tonabnehmersätzen, bevor sie die Vintage-Stimme der DGT-Humbucker herausfanden. Gepaart mit individuellen Lautstärkereglern für jeden Tonabnehmer und einem Push/Pull-Mastertonregler, der die Spulenabgriffe bedient, bieten DGT-Pickups Vielseitigkeit und Artikulation.
