I was looking for light, hard mallets for a Mallet Kat. This is a "synthesized vibraphone" with midi-suitable electrically variable resistance plates instead of metal sound plates, which are also covered with neoprene. It is clear that heavy and soft mallets are not used here. Exactly for this these Mallets fulfill their purpose and do what they should. The rattan handles could be "a tad" thicker to lie better in the hand. No shortage, other hands "see" that differently. Conclusion: in my case, these Mallets do what they should.
