Fits on the Sela, smells only a little, does not slip away. Cushion is too big a word, so a rubber thingy is not thick, but better than hard wood under the thing.

much more I can not say because I'm a beginner. I have promised me to get a slip-free fit when playing. Does not fit perfectly on a Sela Cajon quick kit, but can be cut to fit. Material thickness is 5-6 mm.
