Ibanez TMB100 Ivory

Bass has been my second instrument for 15 years and most of that time I spent on the 5-string. I've been wanting a 4-string for a long time, but since I don't get to play much anyway, I didn't want to spend too much money.

On a trip I discovered the Ibanez TMB 100 in a music store and was immediately enthusiastic (without looking at the price tag!). No matter what I wanted to play, it worked! And when I actually turned over the price tag, I expected the worst. But the price surprised me positively. If the transport had not been so complicated, I would have packed the part on the spot.

Now I ordered it from Kirstein because they had the bass in cream white, dark fingerboard, and long scale. The part was unpacked, tuned, plugged in - and off went the Luzie! Incredible feel (unpainted neck back), and super intuitive operation of the pots - that makes sense to everyone. Sound top, from Rock Blues Beat Punk Pop covers everything here. Workmanship is top notch - the price of 200 € you can see the thing in any case.

The only thing I could criticize is the quality of the pots - they are a bit wobbly and the centers are not always easy to feel. But that's complaining on a high level. Also, I would recommend finishing the open wood a bit more with oil or wax to make it more durable. Especially the fingerboard needs a big portion of lemon oil to protect it from drying out.

I can recommend the bass to everyone - from beginners to advanced players. Professionals of course rely on other tools, but that's obvious. I love the part already and need now for the next few years no new bass :)
