Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass MN RST PINE - Retoure (Zustand: sehr gut)

Opening a Fender hardshell case for the first time and seeing an instrument that meets your high expectations is a happy moment. I experienced such a moment today. The shape of the body lies perfectly in the clear grain. A quick pluck on the E string reveals power and dynamics even without amplification. A suspicious inspection with a flashlight and glasses revealed no signs of use or defects. The neck pocket fits perfectly, the neck is almost perfectly straight. Do it is perfect. The string action was conservative. I like it lower. So I adjusted the intonation and string action briefly, which was very easy. The bass is precisely built. The rounded frets feel good.
Connected to the Eich with an EBS 2 x 10", the next moment of happiness followed. The bass reacts sensitively, but is no diva. It sounds exceptionally warm for a jazz bass, without hiding its typical character. A great bass. At this price, the instrument is not expensive. Handling and sound can keep up with much more expensive basses.

Why not five stars? The electronics behave strangely. If the pots are fully open, the bass doesn't catch any interference. If both pots are set approximately the same, there is also no interference. If only one pickup is in use and the corresponding volume pot is only partially open, I can hear interference. This is consistent with both volume pots. I am quite sure that I can solve this problem. I would deduct half a star. After all, there must be something to complain about.
