The Probucker 760 humbucker pickup´s is main reason, but the match with the mahogni body and neck is a classic Gibson / Epiphone wood choice / combination.
The use and production of this type of pickup, goes all way back to start of 1960´s. The company´s has a long long experience to draw from.
The indian laurel board suprises me, I going to claim that is a reel upgrade. It contribute to the overall clearness and growl.
The only thing I can think to change is the tuning keys, at some time out in the future. They are not that bad, but I stick to Gotoh on all my other basses.
I recommend the bass to everybody, who wants a Gibson Thunderbird like sound at a bargin.
