Die GB212 bietet neben den beiden 12"-Lautsprechern und wählbaren Impedanzen sogar einen Stereo-Betrieb. Und das alles in einem transportablen Format.
Wählbarer Widerstand und Stereo-Betrieb
Die beiden 12-Zöller besitzen jeweils einen Widerstand von 8 Ohm und mit dem Schalter an der Rückseite kann die Box mit wahlweise 4, 8 oder 16 Ohm betrieben werden. Wird im Stereo-Betrieb nur ein Eingang belegt, geben beide Lautsprecher das Mono-Signal wieder. Bei Benutzung von beiden Eingängen ist sogar echter Stereo-Klang möglich, um z.B. bestimmte Chorus- oder Delay-Effekte wiederzugeben.
Robust und transportabel
Das Gehäuse aus 18 mm starkem Schichtholz ist mit einer unempfindlichen, schwarzen Schicht aus Tolex überzogen. Ein Griff an der Oberseite und vor allem die beiden Griffschalen an den Seiten erleichtern den Ortswechsel. Und sollte doch einmal eine längere Strecke vor Dir liegen: steck einfach die 4 lenkbaren Rollen rein und los geht der wilde Ritt.

Now I won't give it away again. After I realized that I liked the sound of the two speakers, I took a closer look at them. The build quality is decent for the price. I reworked a few things over a weekend. This was easy even for those who only have a little bit of manual skill. The speakers were only installed with wood screws and not screwed through with drive-in nuts. I changed this as well as the mounting of the front panel, which is now screwed on with strips.
(For myself, I then installed the bracket (drive-in nuts) for 2 other speakers that have a different bolt circle diameter. As I don't have enough space to put 2 speakers of the same size, I can now change the speakers in 5 minutes with a screwdriver. I can quickly switch to 2 Jensen speakers if I want a very clean sound with lots of treble. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the speaker)
The selector switch for the impedance is very nice, which makes it much easier to try out and use with different amps.
If you don't expect the quality of a €2,000 speaker, you'll be very well served with this speaker. You will see how it behaves on a tour, how it copes with the stresses of set-up and dismantling. It cuts a very fine figure in the rehearsal room and on a small club stage. Highly recommended!
