For many instruments, the right room climate is essentially responsible for a long service life and the preservation of the optimal sound properties. Wood, felt, string wire, upholstery, glues and varnishes sometimes react very sensitively to unsuitable temperature or incorrect humidity. Monitoring the air humidity and temperature can protect against severe damage (such as dryness cracks) and help to maintain the optimal performance of an instrument for many years, in the best possible way.
Hygrometer and thermometer
Proper storage of musical instruments is the most important measure to ensure that you can enjoy your instrument for decades to come. Since wood is a natural product, the climatic conditions are eminently important for the perfect condition. The HC-1 is a simple and effective method of measuring the humidity and temperature in the keep an eye on the situation and react if necessary.
Tuner
As a second useful function, the HC-1 has a chromatic tuner for all instrument groups. Via the integrated microphone, the sound played is detected and shown in the display with an accuracy of one cent. As By default, the concert pitch a is set at a frequency of 440 Hz, but in addition the tuner can be set to a range of from 430 Hz to 450 Hz can be calibrated.
Metronom
As a third valuable component, the HC-1 has a comprehensive metronome function which, with a tempo range of 40 up to 208 bpm (beats per minute) and 10 different beats. The click is heard through the built-in loudspeaker and its volume is adjustable. When using the headphone output, the loudspeaker switches off.
