Received today 18.9 and just installed. (On a concert ukulele
Kit from Kirstein) which so incidentally, as mentioned with some Handwerklichen skill results in a quite passable instrument. Since I (65) have been playing guitar for a long time, I couldn't make friends with the enclosed tuning pegs at all, so these had to go.
For some reason, the "gold" ones cost about 2/3 more than the chrome ones. But they fit better to my Uku. The "old" out, the holes with the hand and a 8.5mm drill "chamfer". Push in the guides (8.3mm) with gentle force and drill in the back with a 1mm drill bit and screw them in place. See there.....the axles
are shorter than the originals but....
just wind up from "bottom to top" and it fits. In addition, the angle to the saddle is slightly larger and that's good. Siet great and works perfectly 😁
